Jim Beckett is a children's fiction author and former teacher. For many years, Jim wrote and performed comedy as one half of critically acclaimed double act Bob and Jim, hosting London residencies and appearing at Underbelly, Soho Theatre and on BBC Radio Four. Jim's stage comedies and musicals have been performed in London, Edinburgh and Milan. He has also worked as a pest control administrator, census collector, bank clerk, seasonal elf and bookseller. Jim grew up in Chandler's Ford and now lives with his family in West Sussex.
