Make ice cream

Easy ice cream recipe

 

Serves 8

 

You will need:

200g sweetened condensed milk

600ml double cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

Flavouring of your choice (optional), e.g., chocolate chips, strawberry puree, peppermint extract, lemon zest, caramel sauce, fudge or honeycomb pieces

 

1. Put the condensed milk, cream and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Use a handheld electric whisk to beat together until you have a thick mixture that forms stiff peaks.

2. If you are flavouring your ice cream, add that now, folding into the mixture until fully combined.

3. Scrape the ice cream mixture into a plastic container lined with cling film, or a large loaf tin. Cover with cling film and freeze for 4 to 6 hours until solid.

4. Remove from the freezer and allow to stand at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
