The World Book Day 2022 books and activities we’re getting excited about

World Book Day 2022 £1 books. Book covers.

Are you looking forward to World Book Day 2022? It’s one of our favourite days of the year! And no surprise, since World Book Day is all about a love of books and shared reading. There’s nothing we like better than book-inspired activities that get kids and grown ups celebrating and talking about their favourite books. This year’s World Book Day takes place on Thursday 3rd March and it’s an extra special one, too, as World Book Day is celebrating it’s 25th birthday.

Get reading!

Every year World Book Day commissions a team of brilliant children’s authors to write a collection of exclusive books published especially to celebrate World Book Day. Each book in the collection costs just £1 – and if you have a World Book Day £1 book token, distributed via schools and nurseries across the UK, you can pick up a World Book Day book for free!

This year’s line up of authors includes some of our all-time favourites and we expect you’re going to have a tricky time choosing which of the brilliant World Book Day books for 2022 to take home with you. Never fear, we’re here to help…
